Officially founded by Margaux Marie (she/her) in 2025, this project explores ways to expand participation and inclusivity within the creative industries. Drawing on a background in cultural-sector administration, education, and business, The Pearl Sea advocates for interdisciplinary and collaborative approaches to the art market, fostering more complete engagement for artists, audiences, and collectors through an emphasis on access and resource mobility.

At present, the project functions primarily as a service-based platform offering support typically provided by gallerists, art agents, and dealers without a fixed gallery space, ranging from administrative assistance and consulting to collection advisory, research, sourcing, marketing, and grant writing, as further explained in the ->services<- section of this website. In the future, it will expand with an assortment of programming and events and into a semi-permanent physical space.
